Our Story

Nearly 10 years ago, Safety Mates Australia was founded by Dan Brimelow, better known to clients as “Safety Dan.” With a background as both a chef and a construction worker, Dan experienced firsthand how safety and compliance can either support people… or slow them down.

He set out to build a company that makes safety simple, practical and personal. What started as one man and a mission has now grown into a dedicated team of eight specialists, all driven by the same values: real relationships, exceptional service and systems that just make sense.

Today, we work across a wide range of industries, from hospitality and manufacturing to service stations, markets and beyond. Our expertise covers:
